We are happy to announce this year’s recipients of the Friday seminar best talk award.
Every second Friday of the past year, members of the IOB had the opportunity to present their current projects in front of an internal audience and jury.
This so-called Friday seminar series was started a year ago with the mission to help scientific and social exchange at the IOB, allow students and other researchers to practice their presentation skills and give the audience the opportunity to ask questions about the projects.
After one year, three members of each category are awarded for the best talks. The recipients were divided into two categories: PhD students and non-student scientists such as postdocs, research associates and others. In each category the best 3 talks were awarded.
In the PhD student category, the first prize goes to Dhryata Kamdar, the second prize goes to Karolina Kaminska and the third to Francesca Cancellieri. In the postdoc category the first prize goes to Mantian Wang, the second prize goes to Arjun Bharioke and the third prize goes to Morgane Roth.
We congratulate all the winners of this year’s Friday seminar series and thank all the presenters for their outstanding science. The IOB would also like to thank last year’s organizers of the Friday seminar, Veronica Moreno, Martin Munz, Mathieu Quinodoz and Mantian Wang.
